SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship aims to help students achieve their dreams and asks applicants to creatively express what inspires them to keep moving forward in life.
Eligibility Requirements:
Education Level: High school senior
GPA: 3.0 GPA or higher

If your life were a movie, what would the title and opening scene be? Please submit an “opening scene” that captures your life’s journey or your vision for the future.
Your submission should creatively illustrate your aspirations, struggles, or achievements.
1. Goals (3-5 sentences): What are your academic and career goals, and how will this scholarship help you achieve them? Provide a brief but meaningful explanation of your goals for higher education and your career path. You should also explain how this scholarship would contribute to achieving these goals.
2. Challenges (350-500 words): Describe a time you failed and what you learned from it, or a time when a belief or idea was challenged. This prompt focuses on self-reflection and growth. Share a personal experience where you encountered failure or faced a challenge that made you reevaluate your beliefs or values. The essay should focus on the lessons learned from that experience.
This scholarship aims to support students of Chesapeake Public Schools as they prepare to embark on their academic journeys by lowering the financial barriers posed by higher education.
Eligibility Requirements:
Education Level: High school senior at Deep Creek High School, Grassfield High School, Great Bridge High School, Hickory High School, Indian River High School, or Oscar Smith High School in Virginia
GPA: 3.0 GPA or higher
